As a member of the Transportation and Energy Committee and the Transportation Legislative Review Committee, Rep. Borodkin was a strong supporter of T-Rex, FasTracks, and mass transit investment in Colorado.
She was responsible for legislation benefiting airports and economic development, including HB 1314 creating Aviation Development Zones with tax credits for aviation manufacturers creating new jobs.

Rep. Borodkin founded the Women's Health Care Caucus in the Colorado legislature and co-chaired Choice Forums with Senator Joan Fitzgerald.
Primary sponsor of the breast cancer awareness license plate, initiated by Carol Hickman. Released July 2006, $25 one-time fee. Over 18,000 Pink Plates on Colorado roads. Alice honored her sister-in-law who lost her battle at age sixty.
Sponsored a Joint Resolution asking the U.S. Senate to ratify CEDAW. The U.S. was among the few non-signatories alongside Iran, Somalia, and Sudan — 185 nations had ratified.
Selected for the Center for Women Policy Studies' Foreign Policy Institute for State Legislators, the first program in the U.S. preparing state legislators as policy leaders on foreign policy. Curriculum: family planning, reproductive rights, HIV/AIDS, ending violence against women, combating sexual trafficking, and women's political participation.
